Chris Wilson
SVP Product Strategy & Management
Chris Wilson is Senior Vice President of Product Strategy and Management at Pacnet. He is responsible for the company’s overall product strategy and management, including product development and deployment, and for Pacnet’s strategies for IP, cloud computing and data centre investments. Mr Wilson also remains responsible for Business Development at Pacnet and oversees corporate development initiatives including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, subsea cable projects and other major investments.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Wilson served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Pacnet. He has been with the company since 2006.
A telecom industry veteran with 24 years of experience, he has spent many of those years in leadership positions with Verizon Business, MCI, WorldCom and British Telecom. Outside the industry he has also worked with GEC Marconi, the BBC and SHL.
Prior to joining Pacnet, Mr Wilson was Director of Asia Pacific Strategy and Business Development at Verizon Business, with responsibility for developing the company’s regional strategy in Asia Pacific. Prior to this, he was Director of Business Operations, where he oversaw amongst other things the development of its regional partner program and its relationship with major System Integrators in the region.
Mr Wilson has spent most of the last 20 years working across Asia and has lived in Hong Kong and Korea in addition to Singapore where he is currently based.
Mr Wilson has an honours degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton (UK) and postgraduate diplomas in marketing and finance. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
