Pacnet Announces Channel Partner Award Winners

SYDNEY, 11 December 2009 – Pacnet, Asia’s leading business telecommunications service provider, has announced the winners of its Australia Channel Partner Awards through a series of national award ceremonies held over the past two weeks.

The awards recognise top performing channel partners in Australia who have excelled in delivering Pacnet solutions to business customers, provided superior customer service and demonstrated exceptional innovation in their solutions.

Topping the list was Melbourne-based Techno Phobia, a full service IT systems integrator which was presented with the prestigious ‘National Partner of the Year 2009’ award.

Peter Bell, national sales manager and founder of Techno Phobia said:”We’re ecstatic to be named Pacnet’s number one channel partner. Being the 2008 Victorian Partner of the Year was a thrill for us but this year’s award really blew us away. The award highlights the true value of delivering complete customer solutions.”

Mr Bell also said that the award reinforces the value of a partnership with a well established telecommunications provider. “With an SME focus and a solid partner program that delivers real benefits, Pacnet is the perfect fit for us. Having the CEO’s direct phone number is not what you get from all service providers. But it’s this transparency that allows us to grow our customer base and deliver quality customer service to each and every one of our clients.”

Deborah Homewood, Chief Executive Officer of Pacnet Australia said: “After working so closely with Techno Phobia over the years, this accolade is testament to their innovative communication solutions and dedication to their clients. I’m confident their success will continue throughout 2010.”

Other winners this year included React Solutions which won Partner of the Year New South Wales, Norac which won Partner of the Year Queensland and Forsythes IT which won Partner of the Year Hunter Valley. The awards presentations were held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle over a two week period.

Earlier this year the Pacnet partner program introduced a unique initiative, the marketing development fund (MDF). The MDF program contributes budget and resources for channel partners to launch customized revenue generating marketing campaigns. In addition, channel partners also have access to a fully committed specialist partner team, including qualified engineers, marketing, account management and priority technical support.

“Our focus is to equip channel partners with the right tools and provide the best support to ensure their businesses grow and prosper. They’re valued members of our sales team and we ensure their dedication is rewarded,” said Ms Homewood.

Pacnet is currently undertaking a channel partner recruitment drive. This initiative is in full swing and is on track to grow the base of 500 active channel partners in Australia to over 700 by mid 2010.
